The brand of The Bridge, born in 1975, distinguishes itself for the production and distribution of high-end leather goods and accessories. Its production includes luggage, travel bags, professional folders, women's handbags and small leather goods for a total of approximately 700 items. Some models made, such as professional folders, the doctor bag or the postal sack, have become real icons of style. With its creations, The Bridge directs itself to a public that favours classic elegance and discreet luxury, made with maximum attention to quality and detail. The full grain leather, the craftsmanship, the brass fittings are the hallmarks that distinguish the brand.

The Bridge always favours the naturalness and softness of leather. It uses the best full grain leather, coming from animals from European farms, to ensure the high quality of the raw material, the uniform grain, free from scratches and imperfections. The processing still today follows the handicraft tradition of the Florentine bottega, rigorously hand made.  In the tanning stage, only vegetable tannins and animal fats are used, this way the hides obtain that transparency and patina with use that make them  even more pleasant to the eye and to touch. For the dyeing process, wool buffers are used, which are applied by hand in repeated applications, in order to exalt the naturalness of the leather and the special features of its surface. Finally, the polishing, performed according to the Tuscan tradition, is done with amber rollers. This is a technique that is always less frequently used by others, as it requires time and patience, but it gives the leather brightness and incomparable elasticity.

Over the years different materials in addition to leather and new treatments have been tested. To accentuate the vintage appearance of the hides, new manufacturing processes have been studied, such as "washed&ruined" for a conscious effect of leather that is lived-in and "distressed" obtained by stressing the leather during the tanning process, treatments that highlight defects, discolouration and imperfections in the leather, porous and thick grains that emphasise the naturalness and uniqueness of the leather.
